Dr. Delois Campbell has been committed to the field of education for over 38 years.
After graduating as valedictorian of her high school in Alabama, she went on to receive her BS degree in Elementary education with honors from David Payne College, a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Villanova, and an Educational Doctorate from Columbia University.
She began her teaching career in Bridgeton , NJ and later became a fourth grade teacher at the Indiana Avenue School in Atlantic City where she introduced and participated in an initiative that individualized instruction within the traditional classroom. She has successfully championed many programs to meet students' needs within the classroom environment and her knowledge, expertise and record as an educator is an inspiration. She is highly respected by her peers and loved by her students.
After being promoted to the central office administration, she became Atlantic City 's first black female assistant superintendent and executive assistant superintendent and has also served as the acting superintendent of the Atlantic City School District . She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City where her skills and experience in educational programming has been invaluable. |
