Lloyd D. Levenson is the Chief Executive Officer and the chairman of the casino law department of Cooper Levenson, a full service law firm with more than 70 attorneys and offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Lloyd and the firm have been instrumental in developing and implementing all aspects of gaming law. An accomplished trial attorney and recognized expert in complex casino regulatory matters, his client list includes casinos, sovereign governments, casino professionals and suppliers to the casino industry. Out of court, he is an active participant in the industry's premier events, associations and organizations. Lloyd has been the recipient of numerous awards and holds several key positions in vital organizations that set worldwide standards, both nationally and internationally.
Lloyd's community and philanthropic work includes being an active member of both the DARE New Jersey Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of D.A.R.E. America Worldwide (which oversees all individual D.A.R.E. programs in local communities of the United States and 54 other countries), a member of the Board of Governors for the New Jersey State Opera, and the Board of Trustees for the Southern New Jersey Development Council. In 1998, he was awarded the prestigious DARE New Jersey Future of New Jersey award, and installed into the West Orange, New Jersey Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999 as a result of his championship basketball career. He was also installed in the Atlantic City Hall of Fame in 2002, received the United Way Volunteer of the Year Award, and served as campaign chairman of the United Way of Atlantic County for the 2003 campaign.
A graduate of Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Lloyd earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, and is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New Jersey, New York, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
